I Have A Few Ways To Introduce A Bit Of Variety to Your Summer Travel

July 5, 2010

Would you like to know about a summer travel destination that offers a tremendous amount of diversity in the vacation opportunities and activities? We are all different in exactly what we’d like to do during our summer travel. It may include hitting a bunch of theme parks like Knott’s Berry Farm, or relaxing in the mountains. For others it is visiting the local museums or hiking or deep sea sport fishing.

One of the first places one thinks of in terms of Southern California vacation destinations is the Resort devoted to Disneyland, California Adventure and Downtown Disney, where you will find some of the most interesting Orange County restaurants.

If you haven’t been to Anaheim in several years, you’ll be amazed at the changes. California Adventure exhibits the diversity of California culture, from citrus orchards to downtown Los Angeles to the northern California Wine Country. If you do any people watching, you will notice a very international mix of visitors at the Resort. In fact, people watching at Disneyland can be a fascinating activity, with a rich mix of cultures all in one place.

Speaking of a cultural melting pot, Southern California in general is a concoction of people and cultures from around the world. Although there are often visitors from Europe, Africa and Asia, the countries along the Pacific Ocean are particlularly well represented.

Along with visits to theme parks and the beach, it may be worthwhile to visit some of the permanent ethnic communities spread around Orange and Los Angeles counties in particular. In Los Angeles County the obvious targest would be Koreatown, west of downtown, Little Tokyo to the west and Chinatown just north of the central business district. Orange County is home to Little Saigon and Fourth Street in downtown Santa Ana.
