Hawaii: Exquisite, Exotic and Memorable

The islands has eight main islands. They are the island of Hawaii (The Big Island), Maui (The Valley Isle), Kaho’olawe (The Target Isle), Lana’i (The Pineapple Isle), Moloka’i (The Friendly Isle), O’ahu (The Gathering Place), Kaua’i (The Garden Isle) and Ni’ihau (The Forbidden Isle).
The language in Hawaii is absolutely lovely. It is of Polynesian origin, but English is the primary language within the islands. There’s been a considerable initiative recently to re-emphasize use of the Hawaiian language and to also pass along the unique and varied tradition of traditional Hawaii in the schools.
Mauna Kea is the archipelago’s highest mountain and is found on the Big Island. Even though it’s formally quoted to be 13,796 feet tall it’s higher compared with Mt. Everest when measured from the base of the mountain on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean; an astonishing 33,500 feet!.
The climate in the Hawaiian islands is pleasant year-round. It offers the classic climate patterns for any tropical locale. The trade winds, however, help to make the humidity lower than found in many tropical climates around the world. The islands basically have two seasons, the dry season that occurs from May and lasts until October and the wet season which will start later in November and lasts throughout March.
Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, with airplanes and submarines, sinking or destroying numerous Navy warships and taking some 2400 lives. You will be able to visit and explore the exact location as well as check out a number of the old ships still there to this day.
Major towns in the islands, that are suggested to see, normally include Honolulu (which happens to be the capital), Keauhou, Mililani, Waimea, Wailea, Kohala, Waipahu and Kapolei. Every town offers you its own particular contribution towards a fun holiday vacation experience.
The islands also offer several unique ethnic groups that, through the years, have come to call Hawaii home. To name a few, Polynesian, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, German, English, Irish, Portuguese, Italian, African, French, Mexican, Scottish and Puerto Rican. Each have left their own mark.
A few paragraphs can not be enough to fully explain what Hawaii offers. Tourists repeatedly return to the islands due to the ambiance, excitement and cultural learning experience.
