Balloon Arch Sculptor Lets Trade Secrets Slip

July 26, 2009

Introduction

No matter what the type of function, the use of balloons always brings colour and decoration to the venue or room. Whether it is a special event, such as a birthday celebration, wedding anniversary, corporate event or even a dinner function, the addition of balloons will make an impact. The party hosts or organisers of the event may wish to create a wow factor for the guests attending. There are so many different events and organisers want to create that wow factor to ensure that it is their event that is to be remembered. There are other ‘wow’ ideas such as ice sculptures or huge displays of flowers or drapes of fabric, all of which create an impression that the guests will remember. To really make an impression, one novel idea is to make a Balloon Arch or Balloon sculpture. Balloons, in their various bright colours can be used to form decorative and impressive looking displays. The eye-catching displays will make an colourful impact at any event. Balloon arches will compliment many events, whether it is a birthday, wedding, dinner or a special celebration.

I am actually involved in a junior football club and at the end of each season, the Club hosts a presentation event for all the players who range from 7 years of age through to 18, and their parents. The club colours are blue and white and we have decked out the venue with blue and white balloons in the past to great effect.

Most of us, myself included will blow up the token dozen or so balloons for my own children’s birthday parties at home. Well, it is only the family coming round after all! So, unless you really have the desire for creating balloon arches or sculptures, and let’s be honest many of us do not, it would make sense to employ a company is capable of creating a balloon arch or sculpture. Professional balloon decorators can be employed to produce an eye catching arch. The decorators will from experience have an eye in selecting the right choice of colour or combination of colours to create a stunning effect. The varied selection of many balloon colours means that the colour coordination options are endless. Balloons area available in basic colours, with pearl shine or metallic finishes, which when put together creatively, will adorn any venue, decor or room you have chosen. Whether the room is large or small, the effect will be stunning.

The big advantage of using professional balloon party decorators of course is that they almost instinctively know how to create a balloon arch. It is important to measure the precise amount of helium to be used in each balloon to achieve the perfect size for the desired results. Electronic monitoring equipment is used to achieve the correct levels of helium. Too much and all the balloons would drift off to the ceiling.

For larger venues, where you will have to decorate a number of tables, a simple balloon or two on each table will create a nice colourful decoration to the room.

So you want to become a balloon sculptor to create a balloon arch for your own celebration? Well it’s not as difficult as you may think. Like anything, as long you buy the right materials, have a little patience and perhaps an eye for creativity, then by following some step by step instructions, you have every chance of making a successful balloon arch. So, here we go. How to create a Balloon Arch.

What Materials do I need?

A quantity of Latex Balloons. How many exactly will depend on the size of the arch required, Nylon Line, similar to that used as fishing line. Two weights to hold the balloons down, a Balloon Sizer to measure the size of each balloon, Curling Ribbon for the finishing touches, and a Helium canister to blow the balloons up. No, you don’t have to blow each balloon up with your own breath!

Step 1

Start by calculating the length of nylon line required using the formula below. Cut the line to the appropriate, length required.

• Formula to calculate the Arch length. If the arch is wider than it is tall: Height + Width = approximate total length

• If the arch height and width are about the same: (1.5 x Height) + Width = approximate total length
• If the arch is taller than it is wide: (2 x Height) + Width = approximate total length

Step 2

Tie both ends to something heavy such as the back of a chair to hold the line in position while you work.

Step 3

inflate the balloons with helium. Use the balloon sizer to ensure that the balloons are the same size. If you don’t have a balloon sizer, cut out a circular template using cardboard.

Step 4

Secure the balloons on to the line. For consistency make sure that you always approach the line from the same side.

Step 5

Allow a space of approximately 12″ between each balloon. Once the balloons are tied on, they can be gently moved to start to form the shape you want and it will be secure on the line.

Step 6

When all the balloons have been tied on to the line, release the ends of the line from where or what you tied it to. To hold the arch in place, fix a suitable weight to either end of the arch. There are decorative weights available or wrap a heavy rock in foil for decoration. It may be helpful to have another pair of hands to help at this point.

Step 7

Now add any accessories to decorate the arch such as tinsel or curling ribbon which can be allowed to drape across the balloons or hang down. If for example the arch is to be used at a wedding, maybe some tulle or net could be added to create a wedding effect.

And, that’s all there is to it. It does sound easy and it is. If you are creating a balloon arch for the first time, allow yourself a little time to build the arch. I wouldn’t have my first attempt ten minutes before the guests arrive.

If you’re planning a company event why not use helium balloons to advertise your company name or message.

Why should I use Helium Balloons?

Balloons that are filled with helium gas are lighter than air. This means that the balloons will float upwards. How often do you see balloons from a party or event stuck to the ceiling? Or at the fairground, when a parent has spent £3.00 or so on a cartoon character balloon and the child lets the balloon drift up to the sky?

Good quality balloons and those used by professional balloon decorators are made from 100% biodegradable latex. This type of balloon is usually larger in size than those bought in most retail outlets. Latex balloons filled with helium typically only retain their buoyancy for a few hours. The reason being that, the helium atoms inside the balloon are smaller in size than the pores in the balloons latex body and therefore the helium atoms escape. Should you want to increase the float time of helium balloons for up to a week, the inside of the balloons will need to be coated with a special polymer solution to minimise the leakage of the helium.

Safety and Environmental Concerns

When you see a balloon drifting off into the distant sky, how often have you wondered how far that balloon will travel? Well, once released into the atmosphere, helium filled balloons will usually travel quite a distance before they finally burst or deflate. It is estimated that around 90/95% of balloons released will rise to an altitude of approxiamately 5 miles. At this height the dramatic fall in temperature causes the balloon to shatter into little fragments which will float gently back to earth where they will degrade into the ground. Hence the reason that balloons are made from biodegradable latex. The latex used to make balloons comes from the Hevea tree or rubber tree.

So balloons are completely biodegradable and to colour the latex non-toxic dyes are used. Through research it has been demonstrated that latex balloons degrade faster than leaves from oak trees. Oxidation occurs in the breakdown of latex and starts almost as soon as the balloon is inflated. As the balloon decays by natural exposure the nutrients contained in the latex are dispersed into the soil. Most rubber tree plantations are in South and South East Asia.

Balloon Sculptures and Arches

Hundreds of balloons may be required for sculptures and arches. It is important to identify the space available and then calculate what is required. The height and width of the structure will be limited by the space available. Some professional balloon decorators have attempted some very ambitious balloon sculptures.

Balloon arches will create a lasting impression at any event. A simple single row of colourful pearl latex balloons with complementary ribbons is often the most popular choice of structure. This type of display is popular at wedding receptions and is often positioned as a focal point for the couple to pass through. The single row display can be used to create a frame to outline other displays or as a photographic point.

Alternatively, this design style can be used simply to enhance a feature at the venue. To hold the arch in place, why not design a hand-made weight covered by a bow to keep the arch in place. Balloon arches don’t always have to be of a large design. A simple table decoration at special events made using smaller balloons can be just as effective. If there is a concrete pillar at the entrance to the venue, why not wrap a line of balloons around the pillar to add colour to the entrance?

For your child’s next birthday, why not build a small balloon arch for kids to run through.

Conclusion

Balloon arches will create a very effective and eye catching focal point at any party. The choice of balloon colours and finishing effects is unlimited , party balloons and therefore the design and style of balloon arch can be achieved without the need to spend lots of money . If you can develop the arch yourself, it will just require you to purchase the materials to create the effect you desire. Balloon arches are a colourful alternative to flower displays or drapes and in most cases will be much les costly in providing a centre piece at any event. Whatever your celebration, a balloon arch will give a lasting impression and reminder of your event , whether it is a birthday, special anniversary celebration, a wedding or a corporate event, your guests will be sure to leave with a memory of a colourful and decorative display of balloons.

Did you try to eliminate stretch marks with Trilastin stretch mark cream?

July 25, 2009

Stretch marks usually form during expansion stages or when a person quickly gains or loses weight. As your height and shape changes, your skin needs to grow to accommodate the change. Stretch marks are very common during age of puberty and time of gestation. Times when a body experiences fast changes.

How to get rid of stretch marks nice and simple? In the start you may discover the stretch marks arise purple and scary looking. Do not get too troubled they will not look this way forever. Over time they’ll get lighter and they will fade quite quickly until they are difficult to see. Nevertheless, though you know they’ll become less plain in the future, this will not make you are feeling totally comfortable in a swimsuit in the summer. If you need to slip on a bathing suit without concern, then there are countless things that you could attempt to minimize your stretch marks so they are not as detectable.

Not only do stretch mark cream ingredients help with visual aspect and elimination but the existent application of the emollients can help with circulation in the skin’s layers. The massaging movement during cream and lotion covering induces the circulation in the surface area being massaged. If repeated day-by-day, improved circulation and regeneration of cells in the region can happen. Ameliorated circulation ends in to better collagen output and skin cell re-formation and both are wanted to prevent and shorten the visible side of stretch marks. It would be of a great help to engage oneself in the applying of stretch marks cream abundant with both Vitamin E and A, for instance Trilastin. I found a Trilastin SR Review. Vitamin A is liable for sustaining the cells in your skin in a healthy state. Vitamin E also help in skins reconstruction and resuscitation that customarily comprise of antioxidants profitable for the skin. Products containing Retin A, could be suggested by a physician. These might diminish the visibility of stretch marks by breaking thru the outer layer of skin and assisting in replenish skin cells and collagen production. Nevertheless you have to at all times consult your physician first.

Organic Fertilizer – All You Need To Know About Organic Fertilizer

July 25, 2009

Like anything else in life you truly need to understand something before you can use it or recommend it. This can also be said for what you need to know when using organic fertilizer.

So exactly what are basic fertilizers made from and how do they affect us?

On every lawn fertilizer bag you will notice 3 written numbers. This is a requirement as it shows how much potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus are in each bag of fertilizer. In each country the amounts are different. Inorganic fertilizers are made from synthetic or manufactured chemicals whereas organic fertilizers are made from naturally occurring resources.

This may sound confusing though but there are some natural minerals that although they are technically inorganic are safe as organic fertilizers and have been used for many years. Such minerals are limestone, saltpeter, phosphate from mine rocks.

So as not to confuse things the best thing to know is that if you are looking for organic lawn fertilizer that it can be store purchased or you could develop your own fertilizer using the most common fertilizer which is compost. The true organic product is created when natural materials decay or rots. This is highly effective as when the material rots or decays it breaks itself down into water and minerals which can be highly nutritious for your lawn or garden.

You should remember though that although some things might seem organic you should never use meat, bones or oils as when choosing the correct organic fertilizer. You should not find this in stores but if you are considering making your own fertilizer you should take this into consideration.

It is said that using organic fertilizer can take twice the effort when applying it. Like most things though hard work and determination are well worth the effort is you are especially going green. Using organic fertilizer can take several applications before you see results but it will be worth the effort in the long run.

If you are trying to decide whether to use organic fertilizers over their synthetic partners you should remember though that it will take more organic fertilizer to do the job as compared to their synthetic counterpart. Using organic fertilizers on average did show a higher yield than most synthetic fertilizers which is not only good for our health but is also good for the continuation of our environment.

Why Multi level Marketing Sponsoring Is Thought To Be Difficult?

July 24, 2009

“Do I need to know and recruit a lot of people to be successful in MLM?” is a commonly asked question.

The typical answer from most upline sponsors is something like the following…

“No, you can create a great residual income and become very successful in Network Marketing by sponsoring just one person every month or two.

They go on to say that the people you sponsor do not have to be from the group of people you already know (commonly called your warn market).  They tell you to think about how many people you interact with in your everyday activities!

But then they turn around and tell you to write down a list of everyone you know, even from a casual relationship.  They instruct you to list everyone you can think of for example, people you work with, go to church with, people you do business with, people you went to school with, people you knew before you moved to your present location, etc. and you will be amazed by the number of people that end up on your list.

Will all or even most of these people join you in your Network Marketing business? Probably not, but statistics show that one out of every one hundred names will make your car payment, one will make your house payment and one will retire you!

That’s not so bad really.  Three out of every one hundred is achievable, but you have to make the contacts.  As the saying goes, “the more you tell, the more you sell.”  Additionally, all the people on your contact list know others and although they may not be interested themselves, they might refer your to others who will be interested.

Have you ever been turned down 97 times?  That is a lot of rejection.  And initially these rejections come from people you know, so the rejection is even more difficult.  Most people will not last that long.

How many people do you know who can go out and face 100 people they know and get rejected by 97 of them and just continue to keep plugging along trying to recruit or sell products to an disinterested market?

If you are lucky enough to recruit someone who is already a seccessful network marketer with correct skills, who brings along his established downline with him and becomes a “heavy hitter” in your company, then technically the answer given above is correct.  If your company’s compensation plan is supportive, then that single recruit may be able to carry you along.

It is highly unlikely that you will be able to find a “heavy hitter” who can rapidly go out and develop a significant downline beneith you if you are only sponsoring “one person every month or two.”

This problem is discussed in detail along with 6 other problem areas in the downloadable free report, The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.

So what should you do if you don’t want to face massive rejection and you are not going to be lucky enough to sign up a “heavy hitter” early on in your Network Marketing career?

If you don’t wish to be a member of the NFL (No Friends Left) club, then I would suggest not going out chasing after your friends and family, everyone you know, or anyone within 30 feet as many upline sponsors advocate.  No matter what they say, everyone is not your market.  Instead your target market is people who are specifically interested in starting a home-based business, earning extra money, are already members of some Multi Level Marketing company or are interested joining a Multi Level Marketing program.  Now the trick is to get them to come to you and then, using a soft sell approach instead of the traditional hard sell, sponsor them into your business.

OK, so just how do I go about achieving that?”, you ask.

You achieve this by first offering your target market a funded proposal or free report relevant to your market and developing a mailing or contact list from the funded proposal sales process.  You then develop a positive relationship with your list members through frequent contact and by providing them useful information.

If you have correctly identified your market, prospects will soon be contacting you for guidance and asking how they can join your team.  So after you have read The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing free report and then be sure to go on to discover the secrets of effective MLM Recruiting methods made available with the use of Internet Network Marketing.

Stock Broker Comparison – Comparing the Best Stock Brokers

July 24, 2009

Comparisons between stock brokers can be completed by planning out the requirements of your trading style. If you are looking to trade frequently and use an online stock broker you can list your requirements in a spreadsheet and methodically check each requirement.

Comparisons in fees can be made on a basis of per trade or account trading frequency. These comparisons may differ based on the unit of comparison. If you trade 200 times per month then your fees may be lower than if you trade and fees are charged on a percentage of each trade.

Another comparison that can be made is the speed to market. Some online stock brokers are slower to get trades finalised and settled. This is partly due to their platform and whether they are using third party dealers to settle trades. Comparisons are hard to make, but usually those brokers that deal directly as dealers are faster to market than those that don’t.

You can compare the customer service response times by ringing the service desk. If you do this several times during a normal trading week, you can get a good idea of which service desk respond the quickest.

One method of checking the viability and trading expertise of your online broker is to talk to them about your options when trades are disputed because of failure within there platforms. What this does is allow you to know your options and the likely response of your broker before the event happens. Most online stock brokers will compromise or refund trade costs when thing go wrong. Some will only refund or reverse trades to their loss when you prove it was their platform that failed. It may seem like a small issue, but it can indicate their willingness to comprise in a fair and professional manner.

The last of the comparisons you can make is by researching the companies offering the online brokerage. Information is available through various sites on the internet. Comparisons between asset valuations, employee size and financial results for the year can indicate which brokers are performing well and which may have problems in the future.

It can be quite frustrating when your broker is bought out by another and you end up having to setup new account numbers, new cash accounts and new trading platforms. So compare your brokers and spend time researching each.

For more information on comparing brokers visit http://www.online-stock-broker.net

Hearing Aids, Not Just For Your Grandparents

July 24, 2009

There is a stigma about wearing hearing aids. An estimated 31 million in the U.S. have hearing loss, but only about 10 percent wear hearing aids. The reason is partly cosmetic – people think they look bad – and partly the cost, prices for a set of hearing aids (for both ears) range from $2,700 to $6,000, depending on the level of technology and the biggest reason for not using hearing aids is the technology. Until a few years ago, the technology was just not that good.

However, hearing aide technology has improved greatly over the last few years. Hearing aids now have digitized programming with smaller computer chips and directional microphones that can distinguish between human voices and background noise. People can now be treated with profound hearing loss with a more powerful, smaller device that can be programmed and adjusted for specific tones. Some hearing aids can be adapted to Bluetooth or other wireless devices, and many have remote controls so users can adjust the devices themselves.

While baby boomers are the largest market segment for hearing aids, hearing loss is not just an aging problem. Target practice with guns, using a lawn mower or weed-eater, driving a loud car or truck and blaring music, all can contribute to hearing loss if the ears are continually exposed.

Hearing is a brain function and the brain will want to focus on the ear with the hearing aid, which will hear better. Over time, the other ear, if not at a comparable hearing level with the assisted ear, may experience hearing loss because of neglect by the brain.

People of all ages should educate themselves about options for maintaining a good quality of life through better hearing. Residents of Arizona have access to one of the countries most cutting edge chain of hearing centers. Phoenix hearing aids and Scottsdale hearing aids can be obtained at Purtone Hearing Centers in Arizona. With a total of eight locations around Arizona, your hearing needs can be accommodated no matter where you live in Arizona.

Maintaining healthy hearing is no accident. Do not neglect the health of your hearing no matter what your age.

Kanturk Castle, Co. Cork Ireland – What’s The Story

July 23, 2009

“A man’s home is his castle…” so the wise proverb affirms. Sadly in this case, it looks like Kanturk Castle, Cork, Ireland never became a place of living. Regardless of it, what did get constructed was and is awesome. The main building consists of four story, while each tower reaches five story.

Now as you ramble around this beautiful historical building, it’s hard to think that it was constructed in about 1601. Twenty scores are over and it is still remaining strong. ‘Bualadh bos’ to the stone masons. (Bualadh bos is Irish/Gaelic for applause or praise) Legend says that sStill stone masons all named John worked on the Castle. Thus at one time the fortress was known as “Carrig-na-Shane-Saor” i.e. The Rock of John the Mason.

There are various points of view on whom trully the castle was made for. Some say it was McDonogh MacCarthy, while others believe it was Dermot McOwen. Still the dating of the monument cannot be agreed upon. normally it is said to be late 16th century early 17th century.

Why was it that he never lived in it? Well, there is some more to that adage: ‘A man’s home is his castle …, and that is, ‘until the Queen arrives’. The neighbors of Kanturk Castle were growing a bit concerned about the hugeness of this building and to the reasons of its existence. The Privy Council, which was like close consultants to the Queen of England at the time, was made aware of this and ordered the work on the building to cease. So, ‘A man’s home is his castle until the queen arrives’.

So upset the overlord was, it’s believed that he broke the leaded glass and the tiles and flung them into the river.

Over time after that the possession changed ownership several times. It is now managed by An Taisce – The National Trust for Ireland, since 14th July 2000.

Why not come and see Kanturk Castle, County Cork, Ireland for yourself. As you walk around fantasize existing in the 15/1600s with the Mc Donagh McCarthy’s at Kanturk Castle.

Places to Relax in Your Own Back Yard

July 22, 2009

In today’s economy you may not have enough money for a long vacation so just go into your backyard. Is your yard dull, boring, uninviting? Here are some things you can do to spice things up and make your yard an enjoyable destination at the end of a long day.

Get a hammock. Great for relaxing, they can take you away from the whole world. Some people are worried about how to do it because they don’t have two trees perfectly spaced apart and just big enough to support their weight. Fear not, hammock chair stands are available. To dress up your hammock accessories such as pillows and blankets are also an option.

Consider a porch swing. If you don’t have a porch you can get a glider instead, it’s a similar concept. Either one is a good option to gently relax you through the simple swaying motion. They can remind you simpler times and help take your mind off the stresses. You can even use a outdoor glider on your porch if it’s big enough and you happen to prefer the motion.

Park and garden benches are great for adding a visual and physical relation point to your yard. Whether you need a quick break from your gardening work, or you want somewhere to rest while you “stop and smell the flowers” in your own yard, a nice outdoor garden bench is just the way to go. Anything from wood to plastic to concrete to iron is available. There are tons of colors and styles, and they cover a wide range of prices.

We’re making a lot of plans for different things we can do to spruce up our yard this coming summer.
