One of the popular options is to stay at a resort. Several resorts offer packages which give you hotel stay, drinks, meals, and activities as well. Some resorts will have amenities such as a club for kids, a salon and spa, on site shopping, and provide tours to the island’s attractions. Ask your friends and family members for recommendations, and check with a travel agent for suggestions. Several resorts have great sales and promotions, too.
Make sure you travel to other islands while in Hawaii. Kauai is particularly popular as a vacation spot, and offers great package deals. Maui is the second-largest Hawaiian island, and a favorite destination for many visitors. If you’re a history buff you’ll want to take in Pearl Harbor while on Oahu. If you prefer geology, you’ll want to see Mauna Kea, an extraordinarily active volcano on the Big Island.

A cruise in Hawaii allows you the opportunity to see many of the islands, and travel to a variety of ports. Stay on board the cruise ship for activities and fine dining, or travel onto land for hiking, biking, and authentic cuisine. Many cruise trips are family oriented with activities geared toward children. Others are romance-based for couples.
