A Post Prom is an all night, alcohol and drug free party for the Senior Class students, after their Senior Prom. They usually go “Party Hopping” in their efforts to celebrate with as many of their classmates as possible. Post Prom events provide a safe alternative to Party Hopping; it keeps the seniors off the roads and prevents any of them from becoming a statistic. It also allows the parents to rest easy knowing their son/daughter is safely celebrating.
The celebration begins immediately after the prom. The students report to the destination and are locked in until the early morning hours. The Committee, which is made up of the parents of the senior class, organize a fun filled evening that the Seniors will not forget. They transfer the school into a fairy tale land that they will not recognize. Usually themed, they transform the hallways, restrooms and other areas into an unrecognized place. They serve a variety of foods and snacks for the students through out the night. They rent fun attractions, such as Interactive Inflatables, Mechanical Rides, CD Recording Studios, Music Videos and much more to keep the students busy until the early morning hours.
Some fun rentals may include a Mechanical Bull rental, Laser Tag, Rock Walls, Sumo Wrestling, Giant Slides, Bungee Runs, Velcro Walls, Human Foosball, Human Spheres, Inflatable Derby’s, and 3D Twister. Another great section could be “An Inflatable Rental Game Room”.
Included in this game room they could have set up a Pool Table, Air hockey, WII’s, Shuffle Board, Skeeball Machines, Pinball Machines, 12 in 1 Arcade’s, and Ping Pong tables. Then there could be a Photo area. That area could consist of Dancing Heads, Photo Booth’s, Photo Viewers and Photo Key Chains. This could be a great way for the students to take home a souvenir of the night they will talk about for years to come. There could be live Entertainment walking around through out the night entertaining the students such as Magicians, Hypnotist, Stilt Walkers, Caricatures and Comedian’s. Some Fun Activity Booths which could include Wax Hands, CD Recording Studio’s, Cash Cubes and Airbrush Tattoo’s.
In the past, I have used The Event Experts which is located in Folcroft, Pennsylvania. They are a full service party planning company that handles everything that one could possible want and need to help plan a Post Prom Event. Their employees where very professional and knowledgeable, which made our event a total success. There was nothing this company could not handle. Their ideas on fundraising were extremely helpful. I would use this company for my private parties as well as any future business event’s that I would be involved in.

The only thing you need to realize is that your acting resume is not an extension of you as an actor, it is an extension of the part you want to play. So, you should twist and pull at the facts of your professional life until they fit, as closely as possible, the specific audition. I would never tell you to lie; just take a look at this sample actor’s resume to get a better understanding of what I mean. This is a little bit of an extra investment in terms of time and energy, but it’s not that big an investment. The fifteen minutes that you spend for each audition could very well spell the difference between getting a part or not getting it.

Yesterday I was on the phone talking with one of my real estate investor friends. I’ve done some work and partnered on some specific real estate properties with this guy in the past so I trust him and he definitely has tremendous knowledge of what it takes to be a true real estate investor.
Unfortunately, most of what the gurus say has led you astray. Not that their systems don’t work but the way it’s sold to you as being “easy” is totally wrong.
You must be willing to make tremendous sacrifices and be very dedicated and persistent. I’m not going to say it’s hard at least it’s not hard to understand.
But for most people and maybe even you the hard part is to remain persistent pushing through all the no’s to get to those yes deals which are highly profitable and make or break your business.
It was a very revealing conversation about the overall state of the economy as well as the more micro state of the real estate economy.
He recounted a tale of one of the properties he’s had for about 16 months.
You’ve probably heard (or been part of) a similar tale where you buy a property for a fast fix up and it turns into the nightmare on elm street.
You’ve probably seen this type of rehab projects on the A&E TV show Flip This House and there’s another show called Flip That House.
It was supposed to be a quick fix and turnaround deal…in and out. But it turned into 6 months of hell.
After negotiating real estate, financing, and bringing in a partner he was able to get the property fixed up in what turned out to be a six-month process and the original budget of $40,000 mushroomed out of control into a completion budget of $62,000.
So as you can see both the time estimate and cost to repair budget were way way off. And not in a conservative way.
This has definitely been a super frustrating property for him as evidenced by him talking about various details of the project to me for roughly 35 minutes.
I could sense the pain in his voice.
Tough as it was for me to hear and I’m sure for him to say it was a good thing. It forced him to reevaluate the strategy he was using in this current market.
The biggest problem are the false expectations setup by what you see on TV…and mainly what they don’t show you on TV
It’s easy when you’ve been in the business for years and have reliable construction workers, but most people don’t. And if you just hire a general contractor most of the time his fees are too high to make it profitable for you.
So he’s going more towards a long-term rental buy and hold type of strategy. Because in this market there are more people looking to rent than there are to buy and it’s conceivable that trend will continue for the next two to four years.
This method has been used successfully in real estate for as long as I can remember because it’s fundamental even though it’s slow.
No matter how long it takes aren’t you willing to do whatever it takes to be wealthy?
